Guitarist Ernie Isley was born in Cincinnati, his older brothers formed The Isley Brothers band. In 1960, his family moved to Englewood, New Jersey. Ernie attended the famous Dwight Marrow High School. Ernie resides in St. Louis, Missouri. He started playing drums at twelve years old. His first live wagon as a member of his brothers' band was as a drummer in 1966 at the age of fourteen. he was influenced by American singer Jose Feliciano's version of the "Light My Fire" song and in 1968 got his first guitar instrument. He is a self-taught musician. In 1968 Ernie did his first professional recording album, playing bass on the Isley Brothers' breakthrough funk smash "It's Your Thing"  song, released in 1969. Ernie played electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and drums on the group's early 1970s albums Get Into Something song, Givin It Back song in 1973.

1. Vernon Isley

Vernon Isley died in 1955. He was a singer and one of the original members of the family band The Isley Brothers during the time the group began its career as a gospel quartet where Vernon shared co-lead singing duties with older brother Ronald.  Vernon was killed at age 13 when his bicycle collided with an oncoming car in his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. The Isley Brothers stopped performing for a few months, unable to deal with the tragedy. Their parents advised them to keep on going with the family group, which they did, reviving the group in 1956 with Ronald as the group's only lead vocalist.

2. O'Kelly Isley, Jr.

The famous Isley brothers music band, Kelly started singing with his brothers at church. When Kelly was only sixteen, he and his three younger brothers formed The Isley Brothers music band and toured the gospel circuit audience. Following the death of Vernon Isley in a road accident, the brothers decided to try their hand at a doo-wop studio and moved to New York City to find a recording deal. Between 1957 and 1959, the Isleys brothers would record for labels such as Teenage and singer Mark X. In 1959, the Isley brothers signed with RCA Records label after a scout spotted the trio's energetic live performance.

3. Marvin Isley

Marvin Isley began playing bass guitar while in high school and by the end of the decade was being learned and mentored by his elder brothers alongside elder brother Ernie and their friend singer Chris Jasper, who was an inlaw. By 1971, Marvin Isley began performing bass guitar instruments on The Isley Brothers' album, Givin It Back album. Within two years, Marvin became an official member of the music band group. His best songs are "Fight the Power", "The Pride"   and "Between the Sheets ". Breaking away in 1984, formed the trio, Isley Jasper Isley who had a hit in 1985 with the "Caravan of Love "  song.

He was born in New South Wales, Australia, of English descent and was a hairdresser. he attended secondary school at the famous Eltham College. He won no 1 place to study drama series at the University of Manchester but opted not to go bring to spend time in London where elder brother Mick was enjoying his first years of fame.

4. Rudolph Isley

Rudolph was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. In his teen years, he was singing as a pro member of The Isley Brothers music band with Kelly, Ronnie, and Vernon. In 1957, following Vernon's death, the remaining three elder Isleys moved to New York to seek a recording deal, later recording for smaller labels until landing a deal with RCA  Records music albums in 1959 where they wrote, recorded, and released their first significant recording, "Shout " song. that year, the Isley family had moved from Cincinnati to a home in Englewood, New Jersey.
